Link - Giorgio Partesana, Hanna Husberg

November 19 - 24, Fort de la Bastille

"LINK" was inspired by the desire to represent things that are invisible and intangible between humans. The relationships between participants are mediated by their visual and auditory avatars. Avatars are first defined from the vocal signature of their models and progressively evolve more or less autonomously. Participants are walking in shadowy light generated by the visual avatar. The avatars evolve by using the vocal signature and the movements of the participants.  They accompany their models, assisting them in creating links with others or, simply playing with the system to modify the auditory space. The visual and sound representations have been designed to invite the participants to understand the relations between their movements, the sounds and the other people. Then, the basic idea of "LINK" concerns the relationships that the system is able to install between participants.
